Points Pointers

Our Guide to Earning More Points and Flying for Less with BA Reward Flights.

With Avios points, a little know-how can literally go a long way.

So the Avios Flight Finder team has put together this beginner’s guide to boosting your points balance.  The world of airline miles can seem complex, but it really needn’t be. Our simple guide will help you easily earn points and convert them into cheap travel. It really is that simple.

So let’s get started by covering some of the most commonly asked questions about how to upgrade with Avios. Then, we’ll introduce a few tips and tricks to make that dream holiday, to a faraway place, closer to reality.

To get regular updates and alerts, on the wonderful world of flying on points, you can Sign up for British Airways reward flight finder, totally free of charge.

Commonly Asked Questions

Why bother?

Frequent flier programmes can seem like a lot of hassle, particularly if you don’t really fly that frequently. The beauty of collecting Avios and using an  Avios calculator to work out your reward seat costs is that you can earn a lot of points, without even setting foot inside an aircraft cabin!

Post Covid19, everyone is looking for a holiday. Add to that the cost of living crisis, and you have a bigger demand for BA reward seats than ever before. It certainly makes sense to think about how you can minimise the cost of your future travel plans. This is where schemes like Avios come in, by earning points for buying everyday necessities, you can earn reward flights, which can drastically reduce the cost of your next holiday.

What is Avios?

Avios is a reward scheme, a bit like the loyalty programmes offered by many retailers. The points you earn are effectively a currency, which you can then spend on a number of things, but primarily on flights with participating airlines.

A number of airlines offer membership programmes that allow you to use Avios points, including the British Airways Executive ClubIberia Plus, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and the Aer Lingus AerClub. If you are based in the UK, you will need to join at least one of these schemes and then the Avios points you earn will sit within them.  They are all free to join and you can sign up for more than one.  However, to keep things simple for now, this article will focus on the British Airways Executive Club since it will be the most relevant option for most UK travellers and those using London Heathrow as a gateway to other destinations.

Is Avios the same as Air Miles?

Air Miles was the popular UK rewards programme, which meant you could earn vouchers for free flights. Although schemes, using the Air Miles brand name, still exist elsewhere in the world, the UK programme closed in 2011. It then operated under the Avios brand name until July 2018 but required users to pay taxes and charges for redeemed flights. Subsequently, it rolled into the British Airways Executive Club. The Avios name was retained, as a points currency by British Airways and its sister companies.

What is the difference between Tier Points and Avios?

If you join the British Airways Executive Club, you will be able to earn two types of points when you fly with BA or other airlines which are members of the Oneworld alliance.  Avios are the points you earn, which you can then spend on rewards.  You can earn these points from other sources too, not just when you fly.

Tier Points determine your status within the Executive Club.  British Airways has four standard tiers: Blue, Bronze, Silver and Gold, as well as some special tiers for exceptionally high-value customers.  You only earn Tier Points when you fly on British Airways or its alliance partners. The number of tier points you earn each membership year determines your tier.  Each tier comes with different benefits when you fly, such as priority boarding or a higher baggage allowance. However, in this article, we’ll focus on Avios.

How do I earn Avios Points?

You can earn points when you fly on participating airlines, including British Airways. However many people don’t realise that you can also earn Avios when you hire cars, book hotels or as a reward for everyday spending.  There are credit cards that award Avios points and you can convert many other types of loyalty rewards, such as converting your Nectar points into Avios too.

What can I Spend Avios on?

The best way to spend your points is to use them to book flights, without having to pay the full price in cash.  Flights booked using Avios are called reward flights. Reward flights are available to any destination, where there is availability, that British Airways and its Oneworld partners fly to.  You pay with points, plus a cash payment to cover taxes and surcharges. You can also pay for flights using a combination of cash and points.

Other things you can spend Avios on include: Paying for seat upgrades, buying travel extras like extra baggage, BA inflight purchases, travel experiences, hotels and a range of travel experiences, treats and gifts.

Typically your points are worth more when you spend them on Reward Flights.

Can I Fly for Free with Avios?

No, sadly you can’t fly completely for free, you have to pay the taxes and surcharges. Unlike the old “Air Miles” programmes of the past, when you could fly without paying anything if you had enough vouchers, your points only cover the flight price, minus taxes like Air Passenger Duty and fees. There is some good news though.  BA offers what they call “Reward Flight Saver” deals. You pay the points and a flat fee whilst BA pays the taxes and surcharges.  These deals are available on flights to Europe and southern Africa and represent some of the best value reward flights.  To be eligible to redeem these offers, you must have earned at least one Avios point in the preceding 12 months.

Fly-for-free-with-Avios

British Airways recently changed the way the flat fee works, it used to be a straight £17.50 each way (£35 return) for an economy flight, and £50 for a return business class flight. This is still the case if you are using a Companion Voucher. However, since last year, BA has added the option to pay lower taxes and fee charges, if you add more Avios - called Reward Flight Savers. The flat fee now starts from just £1 for a return journey, which is great if the money is tight.

However, if you pay a fee below £31, the value attributed to each point you spend on covering the fee is much lower. So if you can afford it, the best option is normally to select the fee offered at around the £30 mark, then to save the rest of your points balance for future use on things with a better return.

How Much are Avios Points Worth?

The value of Avios points can vary quite a bit depending on how, where and when you spend them. You can spend ages researching the most effective returns on Avios points.  However, for most people, the key thing to remember is that you can earn them without incurring any extra cost and use them to lower the cost of flights.

However, with the careful use of some simple hacks, you can both earn more points on the pounds you spend and maximize the value you receive from the points you use.

As a general rule, Avios points redeemed for non-flight rewards, such as hotels, car hire, travel activities or cases of wine, are typically worth around 0.5p.

If you use a mixture of points and cash, to reduce the cost of a BA flight, depending on the route and the class you fly, an Avios point is worth between 0.5p and 0.8p, on average.

However, if you use your points to book Reward Flights, then the value per point can range from 0.55p to about 1.7p, again depending on the route, cabin class and time of year.  For example, the equivalent cash value will be significantly higher for a long-haul business class flight during peak season than a short-haul off-peak economy class flight.

Ultimately the true value of an Avios point is the value it gives you, depending on your circumstances.  E.g. If it means you can fly business class for your anniversary trip when otherwise you would have only been able to fly economy, the value you gain can’t just be calculated in pounds and pence.

Do Avios Points Expire?

With many loyalty schemes, your points can expire before you have had a chance to build up a decent balance.  The great thing about Avios however, is that the expiration rules are rather generous. Essentially you need to collect, spend, purchase or share at least one point every 3 years.  Any longer than 36 months will expire and be removed from your account.

Can I Upgrade my Flight Ticket with Avios?

The short answer to this question is yes, though unfortunately, the answer isn’t that simple.

You can’t upgrade the cheapest economy class tickets. These include tickets marked as fare classes G, O or Q and they are normally described as “non-refundable” when you make your booking.

Only upgrade to the next level of the cabin.

On long-haul flights, British Airways often operates four classes: Economy (World Traveller), premium economy (World Traveller Plus), business class (Club World) and first-class (First).

So in this example, you could not upgrade an economy class ticket to a business class. Sometimes it isn’t clear what your fare class is if you bought it as part of a package. Normally it will be in a class that is excluded, but you can normally check the face class using the “Manage My Booking” feature.

Flight-Ticket-with-Avios

You can upgrade tickets bought by a travel agent

So if you want to use your points to upgrade the “red-eye” economy class seat your company has booked you on, you can.  Though you may have to call BA to do this.

You can only upgrade a ticket you bought with money

Not a ticket that was already a reward flight.  There can be some exceptions to this rule when BA runs upgrade promotions, but it isn’t the norm.  Of course, you may choose to part pay a higher class of ticket, than you would normally buy, using Avios, but this isn’t an upgrade of an existing ticket.

Upgrading with points must be done before departure

Either at the time of booking, by phone or by using the “Manage My Booking” feature on the BA website and app. You can only do this if there is reward flight availability, in the cabin above, for Avios upgrades.  You may also have to pay the difference, between the tax you paid and the higher tax charged for the higher class.  If you are flying from the UK, this will be a certainty.

This situation can change day by day, so if you are interested in doing this, it is worth checking regularly.  Your chances are higher if you have a World Traveller Plus ticket since BA aircraft often have a large Club World cabin, but World Traveller Plus and First tend to have fewer seats, in the first instance.

You can upgrade a single leg of your flight

Only if there is reward flight availability.  For example, you can stick with your World Traveller Plus seat for your daytime outbound flight, but upgrade to Club World for the overnight return.  What’s more, you can buy upgrades on American Airlines and Iberia flights, providing you booked them via BA.

So, how much does it cost to upgrade your ticket with Avios?

Under normal circumstances, assuming there isn’t a special upgrade offer running, the number of points required will be the difference in the points price for the cabin you had booked and the one you are upgrading to.  Don’t forget, you may also have to pay more taxes, so check how much they will cost you too.

Upgrading with Avios can represent good value.  You will earn more points on the flight you take and at a higher rate for your new, fancier seat.

In monetary terms, you will frequently get more value per point if you upgrade with Avios than with a full points redemption.

What is a British Airways Companion Voucher?

The BA Companion Voucher, sometimes known as a “two-for-one voucher” has become a thing of legend amongst frequent fliers. It allows you to “buy one get one free” on the Avios cost (not the cash price) of a round-trip British Airways reward flight redemption.

Currently, the only way to earn a companion voucher is with a British Airways American Express credit card.

With the Blue Card, which has no annual fee, you will earn a companion voucher if you spend £12,000 in a membership year, but you can only use it for Economy class redemptions.

With the Black Card, Premium Plus card, which has an annual fee of £250 you’ll need to spend £10,000 in a membership year to get your companion voucher, which will expire after two years.  This voucher can be used in any cabin class on BA flights - including Business Class and First.

If you are likely to spend that kind of money in a year, the fee-paying card can represent better value, if you are planning a long-haul trip with a partner, especially if it means you can afford to fly in a premium cabin.

Of course, we can’t give you financial advice and you should always check to see if a credit card is suitable for your personal circumstances.

How do I Find the Best Reward Flights to Book?

We’re glad you asked!

Finding reward flights on the British Airways website isn’t always as easy as it could be.  There is also limited availability of the best deals. So you need to know when they become available and be quick to take advantage of them.

That’s why we created Rewardflightfinder.com. It allows you to see all available dates with a simple search, get alerts whenever seats are released and discover availability when you are not sure where you want to go. You can also receive regular news on the latest deals, tips and advice for British Airways reward flight finder plus other airlines too.

Tips and Tricks to Boost Your Avios Balance

Sign-up for the British Airways Executive Club

Ok, this is an obvious one, but if you haven’t already, you should sign up for the BA Executive Club.  It’s free and for most people in the UK, it will be the best place to keep and manage your Avios balance. People who are unfamiliar with the “exec club”, are sometimes put off by its name.  Don’t be, it’s just fancy marketing speak. You don’t have to be a senior business person or even a frequent flier to join…though the latter will undoubtedly improve your points balance.

Create a Household Account

Whilst some individuals prefer to fly solo, many like to share the gift of travel. The BA Executive Club Household Account allows you to share your points with your family, or a significant other and to book tickets for each other on the same reservation number, using Avios. If you have children, it’s the only way that they can earn points too, boosting your points balance from trips you take with them on participating airlines. Otherwise, only adults, over 18 years old, can earn points on a British Airways account.

You can share your points, earn and burn with up to six people, and whilst you don’t have to be related to each other, all the participants must have the same registered address for their Executive Club account. Technically it is not a shared account since each member also has their own individual Executive Club account and status, but it pools the individual accounts for the purpose of booking reward travel.

There are a few caveats, so it’s worth checking out the rules before opening a new Household account, to make sure it suits your circumstances.  But for couples and larger families, it makes it easier to manage your account in one place and book reward flights for more than one person on the same reservation.  For families with children, it also boosts your points earnings from flights you take with them.

Earning points when you fly

When you book a flight on British Airways or an Oneworld partner airline, make sure you enter your BA Executive Club number or ensure that your travel agent associates it with the booking.  You can claim points after a flight, but it is much easier not to.

You will earn Avios on nearly all flights which you book on BA or their Oneworld partners, but there are some exceptions. You won’t always earn points on reward flights, on some of the special offer fares via travel agent websites like Expedia or for industry discounted fares.  Oneworld alliance partners include Iberia, American Airlines, Qatar, Finnair, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines.  The number of points you earn will depend on the class of ticket you buy, the airline you fly and the distance you travel.  The details are available on BA.com.

Earning Points with Airbnb

The popularity of Airbnb has rocketed in recent years, with cheap stays available in around 6 million properties across the globe.  But it isn’t widely known that you can collect Avios if you book your Airbnb stay via the British Airways website.  If you don’t have an Airbnb account or open a new one, you will get 500 points as a welcome bonus, then you can earn 3 points per £1 spent.

Earning Points from Hotel Stays

British Airways has partner deals with many hotel chains, including Accor, Best Western, Hyatt, IHG and Marriott.  Naturally, you also earn points when you book hotels with BA Holidays or Avios Hotels.  What isn’t as well known, is that BA awards Avios when you book hotels through several online travel agent sites, including Agoda, Booking.com and Hotels.com.

Earning Points for Car Hire

British Airways has a longstanding partnership with Avis.  You can collect three Avios per €1 you spend on car rental, with a minimum of 500 points per one or two-day rental or 700 points per three-day rental or more.  If you pay with a British Airways credit card, you can get an additional 250 Avios points bonus too.

Budget car hire is part of the same group as Avis and typically offers slightly lower rental rates.  They too offer Avios, but whilst the prices may be more generous, the rewards aren’t.  You can earn 2 points per £1 spent when you rent with Budget, with a minimum of 250 points per rental.

Maggiore is a popular car rental company in Italy.  If you book one of their cars, on your Italian holiday, you will get 2 Avios per €1 spent, with a minimum of 500 points per rental.

Finally, Zipcar is a car-sharing network, popular in major cities.  It offers 1,000 Avios when you join, and you can collect 50 points on every booking if you use the special Executive Club link.

Earning Points on Travel Extras

If you fly regularly to or through the UK, there is a high chance that you will use Heathrow Airport.  If so, it’s worth signing up for a free Heathrow Rewards card.  You earn 10 Heathrow Rewards points for every £10 of eligible airport purchases, including on official car parking (and if you are familiar with the prices of Heathrow parking, you will understand how quickly those points can accumulate.) If you spend over £750 in a year, you earn double points.  Better still, there is a 100 point bonus for registering and there are frequent promotions offering even higher bonus points.  Once you have 250 points in your account, you can turn them into Avios.

You can also earn Heathrow Rewards points when you book a Heathrow Express train to the airport on the official site or app.  This is actually simpler in many respects than the BA Executive Club Avios scheme for Heathrow Express, which has quite a few caveats, though not as lucrative.

It’s not easy to find, but there is a dedicated Heathrow Express website for BA Executive cardholders.  It isn’t the most elegant website and you might find it easier to use on a computer. However, you can earn 5 points for every £1 spent on tickets purchased in advance through this site.  This is the only place you can earn Avios directly when you book tickets on the Heathrow Express. To be eligible to earn points, the name on the ticket must match the British Airways Executive Club account holder. Now come the big caveats:  You only get awarded Avios 3 months after the travel date, for reasons best known to Heathrow Express and you only earn points if you use a debit card, not a credit card…so no double-dipping on points.

If you prefer to drive to the airport, BA has also struck a deal with ParkVia, to earn Avios on airport parking at Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports.

Earning points from Credit Cards

Now, again we have to remind you that you need to check whether applying for a credit card is advisable, given your personal circumstances. Credit card deals are nonetheless one of the easiest ways to boost your points balance significantly.

First up is a pre-paid Mastercard from Multi-Currency Cash Passport. Technically it’s not a credit card, but a currency card, holding up to 10 currencies. However, you can use it in much the same way as any other Mastercard, with some caveats and restrictions.  You earn 1 Avios for every £1 you load or reload onto this card, which is also a safe way to carry travel money. But, there are some fees for certain types of usage, so check if it makes sense for you before applying.

If you own or run a small business, the Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card pays  1 point for every £1 you spend on the card, then you can redeem each point for 1p (1% cashback) or 1 Avios. If you spend £5,000 on your card in the first 3 months, Capital on Tap currently offers 10,000 bonus points. There is a £99 annual fee and you need to check the terms and conditions which apply before considering the card.

Now for the most popular Avios earning cards, which are all variants on the American Express programme.

Points from Credit Cards

BA Credit Cards

First up is BA’s own range of credit cards. There are essentially three choices here:

Standard (Blue) British Airways American Express Credit Card

Has no annual fee.  It gives you a 5,000 bonus Avios if you spend £1,000 within the first 3 months. You earn 1 Avios for every £1 you spend and get a BA Companion Voucher, valid for a year, every year that you spend over £12,000 on the card.

British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card

Has an annual fee of £250. It gives you 25,000 bonus Avios points if you spend £3,000 in the first 3 months. You earn 1.5 points for every £1 you spend, which rises to 3 points per £1 spent on British Airways flights and holidays. You get a BA Companion Voucher, valid for two years, every year that you spend over £10,000 on the card.

British Airways American Express Accelerating Business Card.

As the name suggests, this is a business credit card with an annual fee of £210.  You earn a BA “On Business Points” for your company and Avios too, at a rate of 1.5 per £1 spent.  “On Business” is a corporate points scheme from BA, which is worth looking into if you run your own company.

American Express Membership Rewards

The points scheme comes with many American Express cards and can accelerate your Avios points balance. Points transfers to Avios are possible once you have 1,000 Membership Rewards points and one Membership Rewards Point equals one Avios.

American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card

Has no annual fee in year one (£140 in subsequent years) and comes with a welcome bonus of 10,000 Membership Rewards points if you spend £3,000 in the first six months. Amex frequently doubles the welcome bonus points when the card is being promoted, which is something to look out for.

  • 1x point for every £1 spent on purchases
  • 2x points for every £1 spent directly with airlines or in a foreign currency
  • 3x points for every £1 spent at American Express Travel.

And there is no limit to how many points you can earn.

Platinum Card from American Express UK

Has a whopping £575 annual fee. This is a charge card, rather than a credit card, which means there is no credit limit but you must pay the full balance each month.  However, it does come with a long list of travel benefits, from comprehensive family travel insurance to free Priority Pass lounge cards and elite status with many hotels.

If you are a very frequent traveller, it can be worth a look. The welcome bonus on The Platinum Card is 30,000 Membership Rewards if you spend £4,000 in the first 3 months of membership. You earn 1 point per £1 spent normally, and 2 points per £1 on the American Express Travel portal. Amex does often run points promotions on The Platinum Card, which can increase these earnings dramatically.

Nectar Programme

In 2021 Sainsbury’s became the latest Avios supermarket partner, customers can now convert their Sainsbury’s Nectar points into Avios points. Nectar points and Avios are now interchangeable.

The conversion rate:

250 Avios = 400 Nectar points

400 Nectar points = 250 Avios

The Sainbury’s/BA points partnership is a game-changer for all those who shop at Sainbury’s and use their Nectar points. This transforms the way we think about earning Avios points, as well as the grocery shopping decisions made to do so.

And since 1 Nectar point is worth 0.5p at Sainsbury’s, Argos, eBay and other partners, what we are saying is that 250 Avios = £2, so 1 Avios = 0.8p. BA has set up an online tool for linking and converting your Nectar & Avios points here.

If you don’t have a Nectar card, register via nectar.com, or download the Nectar app.

Nectar American Express Card

With the new Nectar-Avios alliance, you may want to consider getting this card. For every £1 you spend you earn 2 Nectar points, converting into roughly 1.25 Avios points.

The Nectar AMEX card has no fee in the 1st year (£25 per year onwards), and you’ll receive 20,000 Nectar points (12,500 Avios) as a sign-up bonus. This is slightly better value for money in the first year compared to the free British Airways American Express card.

After the first year, if you’re spending over £10,000 for Avios points you’re better off with the Nectar American Express card for its higher earning rate. If you’re spending under £10,000 you’re better off cancelling your Nectar AMEX and focussing on the British Airways American Express.

If you’re using credit cards to earn points, the best way to do this is to use your card instead of a debit card, for everyday spending, wherever you can.  Always pay the balance off in full each month, otherwise, the interest charges could be greater than the value of the points gained.  Setting up a direct debit with your card provider is an easy way to make sure you don’t miss a payment.

If you are thinking of taking out a loan or mortgage soon, it might be advisable to hold off applying for a new credit card until afterwards. Multiple credit searches within a short period can affect your credit rating.  We also wouldn’t suggest you use any card with a high APR for borrowing money.

Earning Points for Shopping

You may have seen cashback websites, which give you money back when you buy through their portal. Well, British Airways has its own one, called the British Airways Avios eStore.  The difference is that you earn Avios rather than cashback.

It’s quite generous too, you earn up to 30 points for every £1 you spend and it features over 1,200 brands such as John Lewis, M&S and Selfridges. BA funds these deals through commissions they receive from participating retailers, much like with a normal cashback site.

The “BA High Life Shop” is British Airways’ onboard duty-free retail operation.  You can earn 2 Avios for every £1 you spend.

Earning Points for Having Your Say

When you read the news, you’ll often see articles referring to results from consumer surveys.  What you may not know is that you can participate in these and get rewarded with Avios too.  One thing to be aware of is that some people get asked to participate in a lot of surveys when they join these opinion-gathering schemes.

So a tip is to create a separate email address from your main one so that you can dip into the surveys when you want to increase your Avios balance. The two we’d recommend are e-Rewards and Rewards for Thoughts

Off-Peak Points Fly Further

British Airways uses peak and off-peak periods to determine how many Avios points you need to spend on a reward flight.  Unsurprisingly peak periods align with school holidays, in fact, the longer private school holiday calendar. If you are able to book travel outside school holidays, you will typically need between 10% and 40% fewer points to purchase a reward flight.

For example:

  • London – Madrid return: 15,000 peak, 13,000 off-peak.
  • London – New York return: 40,000 peak, 26,000 off-peak.
  • London – Tokyo return: 60,000 peak, 39,000 off-peak.
  • London – Sydney return: 100,000 peak, 65,000 off-peak.

So you could fly off-peak as far as Tokyo using fewer Avios than the much shorter flight to New York in peak season.

The good news is that Reward Flight Finder has a simple calendar tool, which allows you to see a single view of both availability and how many Avios you will need to book a reward flight through the year.

Using Avios At Peak Times Can Deliver Savings Too

Both cash and points prices are higher in peak season, but Avios can represent a significant saving, particularly on flights to Europe and South Africa.   With “Reward Flight Saver” deals, you only pay the Avios and a flat fee whilst BA pays the taxes and surcharges.  What’s more, reward flights include a checked-in bag, whereas many of the cheapest cash prices are hand luggage only, which can be a challenge for families.

A flight to southern Italy, with hand luggage, in July can cost £300, so a Reward Flight Saver payment of £31 plus a relatively small number of points can be attractive.

Times can deliver savings

Long Haul Flights

For long-haul flights, you will only be paying the taxes and surcharges in cash, plus Avios. British Airways works out the point redemption prices using distance bands, a similar concept to the London travel zones.

So often the best value can be had on longer flights where taxes are frequently a lower proportion of the cash price. Again, rather than going into complex detail, the simplest place to see where your points could take you is the Reward Flight Finder site.

You can easily research the taxes and Avios needed on different dates and members, with paid subscriptions, can see all the available options, even if they aren’t sure where they’d like to go.

Wing it in Style with Business Class Bargains

The number of Avios required to fly business class, on a rewards flight, are typically two to three times higher than for economy, depending on where you are going.  Taxes and surcharges are higher too.  Here’s the thing: The cash price, of an off-peak, long-haul business class flight, can be four to ten times the economy class fare.

For example, we looked at London to Johannesburg fares:

Return fares in economy class averaged around £800 in total. For business class, it was closer to £6,500.

With Avios you’d need 32,000 points plus £460 in taxes and fees for the economy, to get a reward flight in business class you would pay 125,000 points plus £755 in taxes and fees.

So if you have enough Avios, you can see in the above example how business class reward flights can offer greater savings and make premium travel accessible, for individuals who wouldn’t normally be able to afford the full airfare.

Save with One-Way Tickets

Most budget airlines base their pricing on individual legs of a trip.  However, British Airways' one-way cash prices can be painfully high, far more than half the return fare.  With Avios, the point redemption cost, for a one-way flight, is simply half the number of points you need for a return flight.  On long-haul flights, taxes and charges can vary enormously.  Factors within this include the local taxes imposed and the charges BA have to pay to fly from that airport. This all means that it is worth comparing different combinations of one-way and return prices, using either cash or Avios.

You might find that flying one way on a budget airline and the other using your Avios on BA, works out cheaper than booking the return flight with either.  Reward Flight Finder makes it easy to see the points and taxes payable on a one-way flight, saving you both time and hopefully money.

Welcome to Flying Further for Less

So, now we hope you have the information you need, to start boosting your Avios balance and start taking advantage of the great savings available on reward flights with British Airways.

If you sign up with Reward Flight Finder, we can make the whole process simpler, with easy-to-use research tools and alerts when reward flights become available that match your criteria.

Happy flying!
