Selling or letting a home has got to be among the most stress-inducing exercises in the world, but one company seems to have found a way to soften the blow. London-based estate agency Foxtons has announced a new partnership with IAG Loyalty, allowing customers to earn Avios through selected property transactions.
In this article, we’ll explore the Foxtons–Avios partnership in detail, including how to collect Avios points and its implications for travellers looking to maximise Avios value.
Overview of the Foxtons–Avios Partnership
In a nutshell, Foxtons has partnered with IAG Loyalty, the company behind Avios, to reward customers with points when they sell, let, or manage a property. The deal makes Foxtons the first UK estate agent to offer Avios as an incentive.
Clients who instruct Foxtons to let a home can earn up to 30,000 Avios, while existing landlords who upgrade to Foxtons’ full property management service can collect 20,000 Avios. Sellers who instruct Foxtons as their sole agent until 31 January 2026 will also receive 20,000 Avios for selling their property.
What’s the Basis for This Partnership?

While the move makes sense, it’s not a spur-of-the-moment decision. Foxtons says the move is based on research into landlord behaviour, especially around retention and incentives. The agency found that most landlords reassess their choice of letting agent every two to three years, while around 80% said a rewards-based incentive could influence them to switch.
Foxtons chief executive Guy Gittins said, “This partnership is another way we’re adding value for our customers and strengthening what makes Foxtons unique. It supports our focus on attracting and retaining landlords, growing our share of the London market, and supporting more customers with our property management services. As the only UK estate agent where people can earn Avios, we’re giving customers an additional benefit when they choose to let or sell in London.”
With moving home regularly ranked among life’s most stressful milestones, the partnership offers a rare upside: the chance to fund future trips while selling or letting a property. With one-way British Airways reward flights starting from 10,000 Avios plus £1, Foxtons customers can earn enough Avios value to cover return flights to destinations such as Paris, Geneva, or Nice, depending on availability and redemption choices.
Foxtons says its research also shows that ongoing, flexible rewards, especially higher-value schemes like Avios, are closely linked to stronger customer loyalty. The company believes it’s offering something genuinely useful by pairing property services with Avios.
Rob McDonald, spokesperson for IAG Loyalty, added, “Landlords who choose Foxtons’ property management services can now be rewarded with Avios, providing even greater value as they manage their property portfolios, while homeowners can start the new year with new rewards, thanks to the sales and letting proposition.”
How Does It Work in Practice?
- To earn Avios under the promotion, you must hold both a British Airways Club account and a My Foxtons account. If you don’t already have one or the other, both can be set up free of charge.
- For existing landlords upgrading to Foxtons’ Management Service, the property must already be let by Foxtons under Lettings Only terms and must not have been fully managed by Foxtons at any point in the previous 12 months.
- Avios are credited monthly for up to 12 months, provided Foxtons continues to manage the tenancy throughout that period. If the tenant leaves during those 12 months, the property must be re-let through Foxtons and remain under management for Avios to continue accruing.
- Rewards are paid in equal monthly installments. For example, a total award of 30,000 Avios would be delivered as 2,500 Avios per month over 12 months.
How Can You Earn Avios with Foxtons?

There are three main ways to collect Avios points under the scheme.
- Landlords can earn 30,000 Avios by appointing Foxtons as their sole letting agent.
- Landlords who already use Foxtons to find tenants can earn 20,000 Avios by upgrading their agreement to include Foxtons’ full property management service.
- Homeowners who instruct Foxtons to sell a property before 31 January 2026 can also earn 20,000 Avios under a time-limited promotion.
How To Collect Avios Points
The process is pretty straightforward. Here’s what you do:
- Sign in to My Foxtons: Visit the Foxtons website. New customers will need to create a My Foxtons account, while existing customers can log in as usual.
- Link your British Airways Club account: Add your British Airways Club membership number in the Rewards section of your My Foxtons account. Once linked, Foxtons handles the rest.
- Start earning Avios: Avios are credited monthly over a 12-month period, depending on the qualifying service you use.
What Can You Do with the Avios?

Avios earned through Foxtons can be used across the Avios ecosystem, including:
- Booking British Airways reward flights
- Making your flying experience better through cabin upgrades
- Using your Avios as part payment on flights, seats, and baggage
- Paying for hotel stays
- Making travel easier by paying for a car hire through Avios
Bottom Line: Is this Good News for Travellers?
This isn’t the first time Avios has explored an estate agency partnership. A previous one with Chestertons was launched in 2015 with far more modest rewards, and it lasted only a few years. Under that scheme, customers earned just one Avios per £1 spent on fees, which ultimately proved insufficient to influence decisions around selling or letting a property.
By comparison, the incentives on offer through Foxtons are a lot more generous, although whether the brand is the right fit will depend on individual preferences.
It’s also worth noting that Foxtons has scaled back its sales operations in recent years and now operates primarily as a lettings-led agency, following a period in which its sales business attracted negative attention. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. If the deal makes sense for you, there’s no harm in making it pay for your next Avios flight redemption.
If you’re a renter, you can also utilise Payr to earn Avios. Payr lets you earn points, rewards and cashback through your existing card schemes, allowing you to benefit from your biggest monthly expense. Payr supports payments from all major card networks, including American Express, Visa, and Mastercard, which you can then convert to Avios for your next reward flight redemption. You can also get 20% off your first rent payment using code RFF2026.
