Marrakech
Prepare for sensory overload. Marrakech is an intoxicating mix of tradition and modernity, known for its medieval souks, ancient riads and beautiful Islamic architecture, as well as its new design icons, boutique hotels, classy art galleries and museums, and amazing spas.
Visiting the Unesco listed Old Medina is a must. Here you’ll find the Koutoubia Mosque, Bab Agnaou and fabulous gardens and ramparts. The central square of Djemaa El Fna is a sight to behold, especially at night, when the square fills with food vendors, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians, storytellers, fortune tellers, and soothsayers.
The square gives way to many alleys in the souk where you can buy expertly crafted leather, spices, homewares, oils, candles, carpets, herbs and souvenirs. Don’t forget to haggle - not only is it expected, but it's a way of life in the souks of the Marrakech.
There is a growing modern side to Marrakech too, with areas like Gueliz attracting trendy, design types, in search of funky new art galleries, restaurants, design shops, and nightclubs.
Reykjavik
Sitting on the edge of snow-sprinkled mountains and geothermal pools, Reykjavik is packed with cutting-edge museums, hyper-hip restaurants, bars and music venues.
If you visit Reykjavik in late autumn or winter, then seeing the Northern Lights is probably on your To-Do list. Grotta Lighthouse is a great place to watch the Lights over the water, and you can get a boat trip from the harbour, where the view of the Northern Lights is unobstructed and awe-inspiring.
If you’re a foodie, no trip to Reykjavik is complete without chowing down on a hot dog from Baejarins Beztu. While most hot dogs are made out of pork or beef, the sausages in Reykjavik are made from lamb meat. And they taste incredible!
Bermuda
A year-round fly-and-flop destination. Top up your tan, take a sunset rum-tasting cruise or swim in the infamous Bermuda Triangle. A string of islands ringed by many reefs makes Bermuda one of the top diving places in the world.
You can swim with dolphins, snorkel in the reefs or dive amongst sunken shipwrecks at one of the island's many sublime beaches, where the sands have a pink tint created by red-shelled Foraminifera mixing with soft, white sand.
Bermuda’s Crystal and Fantasy Caves are breath-taking underground pools of azure blue water full of incredible crystal formations of every size and shape imaginable.
The cave ceilings are decorated with rare chandelier clusters and delicate “soda straws”. Each cave is uniquely beautiful and is a new adventure to discover, making them one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island.
Cancun
Teeming with vibrant cuisine, spectacular golf courses, luxurious spas, flamboyant shows, bars and nightclubs, Cancun is famed for its exuberant culture.
Catamaran cruises offer some of the best ways to soak up the local sights and sounds. If you’re feeling extra-fancy, you can even charter a private catamaran. Adrenaline junkies should head to Selvatica, where off-roading and ziplining through the Mayan jungle is sure to get the heart pumping!
Santorini
This volcanic Greek island has real bucket-list appeal. Walks along the caldera path between Fira and Oia offer stunning vistas and opportunities to immerse yourself in the culture of the tiny villages built into the huge cliff face. For those seeking more relaxation take a boat along the coastline.
In addition to the unique architecture and picturesque beaches, delicious food is one of the main highlights of a trip to Santorini. Greek cooking classes and wine tours are popular across the island.
Bangkok
Megamalls sit side by side with gold-spired temples. Neon-lit strips and bustling night markets contrast with long-tail boats floating silently on the riverways. This city of contradictions meshes ancient spiritualism and modern innovation with delightful effect.
A visit to Wat Pho to see the Reclining Budha is a must for any visitor to Bangkok, as is a trip to the Grand Palace. If you’re a fan of shopping, you’ll be in your element at Chatuchak Market and Siam Paragon, a vast mall that houses high-end fashion designers, Southeast Asia’s largest aquarium, a multiplex cinema and enough restaurants to feed you for a lifetime.
To see the best of Bangkok, a night river cruise along the Chao Phraya River is nothing short of luxurious. The Vertigo and Moon rooftop bar on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel offers views of sparkling Bangkok in all of its glory.
Mumbai
Bursting with energy, Mumbai is home to ornate colonial-era architecture, unique bazaars, hidden temples, Bollywood and hipster nightlife.
The Gateway To India is Mumbai’s most iconic and recognisable attraction, while a short boat ride from the docks will take you to Elephanta Island where tourists can explore 5 hidden Hindu and Buddist caves containing rock sculptures that will leave you in awe.
If you’re an art lover, pay a visit to Chapel Road, where you’ll find outstanding street art in the old neighbourhoods of Bandra.
New York
Ah. The Big Apple. Cosmopolitan, cultural, fiercely commercial, artistic and monumental. New York is all these things. With its big-ticket tourist attractions, VIP nightlife and world-famous skyline no list would be complete without it. There is so much to do - the problem is deciding what to focus on.
Take a stroll in Central Park; catch a ferry out to Liberty Island to climb the base of the Statue of Liberty, or go all the way up to her crown; visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art; visit One World Trade Center and Observatory to see the massive panorama; visit the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum to pay tribute to the lives lost in 9/11; marvel at the spectacle of Times Square, with its street performances and shows and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to take in the iconic views of the NYC skyline. There’s lots more……
Dubai
Once a small fishing village in the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is now one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, full of fast cars and luxury experiences.
Everything here is excessive, luxurious and indulgent. Get your thrills from desert sandboarding, skydiving and white-knuckle dune bashing. If glitter and sparkle are your thing, Dubai boasts magnificent shopping malls, and five-star bars and restaurants.
Los Angeles
Los Angeles is synonymous with cinematic glamour. If you're a fan of Tinseltown you can tour film studios, check out the Chinese Theatre’s famed handprints, or take one of the famous bus tours to indulge in some celeb spotting
